The customer sells high end electronic arcade games most of which are exported to the USA. A major Japanese enterprise they have a design and development centre in the UK.
The product is large as it encompasses a full seat for the user, a 47 inch screen and interfaces. This means that a large area is required, not only for assembly but for storage of piece parts and final assemblies awaiting shipment.
Able Contract Electronics are housed in an electronics facility of 20,000 sq ft but are also fortunate to have an additional 30,000 sq ft at its disposal.
This has meant that materials like chipboard, cardboard and other fibrous materials can be kept separate from the clean electronics environment.
This facility has impressed not only the UK operation but a delegation from Japan.
Able has been happy to provide seat assembly, electronics integration, wiring looms and full product testing.
Space and production capacity has few constraints for Able.
